Job Description

As Payroll Administrator, you’ll ensure accurate and timely payroll for our teams across Canada. You’ll maintain compliance, support HR and Finance, and play a key role in delivering a seamless employee experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities
  • Validate payroll cycles and new hires in the payroll system.
  • Process corrections, reconcile hours, and ensure data accuracy across reports and systems.
  • Verify eligibility for paid time off and update systems accordingly.
  • Review and process payroll-related documents (changes, direct deposits, interim adjustments).
  • Import and reconcile payroll data (hours, rewards, etc.).
  • Perform audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Analyze and process departure notices, and calculate severance pay according to legislation.
  • Prepare and issue Records of Employment (ROEs).
  • Create reports as needed.
  • Support year-end payroll activities.
  • Reconciliation of group insurance invoices.
  • Prepare and send reports on a recurrent basis.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes.
  • Provide information on payroll matters and benefit plans to all employees.
  • Support on several requests related to the group insurance.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with payroll systems (Dayforce, StoreForce)
  • 3-5 years of experience in payroll
  • Knowledge of employment standards and labour legislation for all Canadian provinces (strong asset)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Communication skills
  • PCP (Payroll Compliance Professional) designation completed or in progress (asset)
  • Knowledge of WCB’s reporting and payment (asset).
