Job summary

A manufacturing company in Mississauga is seeking a Parts Inventory Manager to manage the inventory of parts and materials. Responsibilities include quoting, ordering, and organizing incoming parts, as well as delivering them to production lines in a timely manner. Candidates must hold a high school diploma, a valid G2 Driver’s License, and have a clean driving record. Reports to: Parts Manager/Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
  • Parts Inventory Management:
  • Quote, order, receive, organize, and store incoming parts and materials in designated storage areas.
  • Track inventory levels and perform regular stock checks to ensure adequate supply for production.
  • Parts Distribution:
  • Deliver parts and materials to production lines or other plant locations as needed, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Operate motor vehicles, forklifts, or other equipment for parts transportation.
  • Documentation and Tracking:
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing parts using inventory management systems.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and quality against purchase orders or production needs.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures, including safe lifting techniques and equipment handling protocols.
  • Ensure the proper storage of hazardous materials, adhering to safety and compliance guidelines.
  • Coordination and Communication:
  • Collaborate with production teams, warehouse staff, and supervisors to address parts shortages or urgent requests.
  • Report inventory discrepancies, damaged parts, incorrect parts or other supply issues promptly.
  • Support Production Goals:
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining clean and efficient storage areas.
  • Ability to work overtime as required to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • License: Minimum of a G2 Driver’s License (valid in Ontario).
  • Driving Record: Clean driver’s abstract with no major infractions.
