Job summary

A community-focused healthcare organization in Metro Vancouver is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse. Role & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the care and management of home care clients, ensuring their needs are met with quality and compassion.
  • Conduct in-home client assessments, monitor client progress, and collaborate with the care team to develop and implement person-centered care plans.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports within set deadlines, while providing support to the service and nursing teams.
  • Provide support to the Health Care Workers and Nurses, guiding them to deliver exceptional care and supporting their professional development.
  • Perform wound assessments, assist the nursing team in developing and implementing treatment plans.
  • Provide follow-up wound care in client’s homes while adhering to best practice standards.
  • Drive to various locations in the Metro Vancouver area.
  • Be available 24-30 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Qualifications:

  • Current RN/RPN registration with the BCCNMand up-to-date CPR certification
  • Current and clear Criminal Record Check
  • Valid BC driver’s license, and reliable transportation to drive to various locations in the Metro Vancouver area
  • Experience in wound assessments, wound care, IV Therapy, and PICC line management
  • Have a strong understanding of antibiotics therapy and adherence to safety and infection protocols.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other healthcare professionals, clients’ family members, and relevant organizations to meet clients’ best interests and goals.
  • Excellent technical skills to ensure accurate and timely completion of our client care documentation using our online systems, such as Microsoft 365 and AlayaCare.

These requirements ensure that the Registered Nurse (RN)/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) has the necessary qualifications and attributes to effectively provide high-quality care, and contribute to the development of services within Classic LifeCare.
