Part-Time Academic 2 Positions (COMM 2504: Intermediate Quantitative Decision Making - Fall 2023)

Pay: Competitive

Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

A Part-Time Academic is needed to teach the following course from September – December, 2023:

  1. Commerce 2504 – Intermediate Quantitative Decision Making (2 positions available)
Qualifications/Requirements of Position

Requirements:

  • This position emphasizes high-quality teaching, excellent communication, and dedication to student success.
  • A Master’s degree in Business or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the subject matter and an established record of effective teaching experience.
  • Must meet the School’s accrediting body (AACSB) academic or professional qualification requirements.
  • Related work experience in practice, completion of a PhD, or a PhD in progress are considered assets.
Course Organization and Duties

The Part-Time Academic will be responsible for:

  • Organization of the course
  • Preparation of appropriate teaching and evaluation materials
  • Student assessment and assurance of learning
  • Holding two additional hours of office hours per week for personal consultation with students
Salary Range/Pay Rate

$6478 per course (In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement)
