Parents as Teachers Educator

Job Description

Hamilton R-II School District is partnering with nearby school districts; Braymer C-4, Breckenridge R1, New York R-IV, Cowgill R-VI and Kingston 42 to hire a Parents as Teachers (PAT) Educator. This position is open November 10, 2025. Benefits will be offered by Hamilton R-II if a minimum of visits/connections is established monthly to determine full-time status. Hourly pay is $22.50.

Responsibilities
  • Promoting parent-child interaction and development-centered parenting and family well-being training through personal visits, group connections, screenings, and resource referrals.
Qualifications
  • Parents as Teachers Certification is preferred but will send the right candidate to training.
  • Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
    • Certification in Early Childhood Education or related area;
    • Completion of a 2-year degree or certificate program in Early Childhood Education or related area;
    • 60 hours of college credit and 2 years of successful experience in a program working with young children as approved by DESE;
    • Five years of successful experience in a program working with young children as approved by DESE.
