Order Fulfillment Specialist

Currently we are hiring for a: Order Fulfillment Specialist

The Order Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for converting customer orders received from the Customer Service Support team into a delivery plan for our warehouse & logistics partners. Crucial items for consideration in the process will include: urgency, order size, physical location, customer segmentation, and logistics routes and costs to deploy the most effective and efficient option available.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • From options available determine the most efficient and effective delivery of customer orders received from customer service team from our central warehousing partners to customer locations considering.
  • Negotiate with logistics providers outside normal supplier for direct ship routes.
  • Using Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), create delivery options and appropriate paperwork for warehouse and logistics partners.
  • Responsible for discrepancy resolution with logistics payables paperwork through Medius.
  • Responsible for communicating delivery instructions for all customer orders to warehouse partners.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities of seasonal cube van drivers.
  • Responsible for communicating and organizing customer returns and manufacturer product recalls back into central warehouses.
  • Responsible for resolving damages incurred by warehouse or logistics provider.
  • Collaborate with customer service team, and at times Account Managers, to understand specific requirements from customers on delivery instructions.
  • Communicate details of pending order to allow timely feedback when engaging with customers.
Required Qualifications
  • Post secondary degree or diploma in business, accounting, customer service, marketing, business operations or related field.
  • Experience in logistics, accounting, customer service or related business-related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to a wide range of internal and external customers.
  • Strong user of the Microsoft suite of products.
  • Experience in JDE and OTM is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of Western Canada geography.
  • Strong computer knowledge.
