Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION

Join us as an Operations Planner and play a key role in turning strategy into action! You’ll ensure detailed plans meet the highest quality standards, align schedules and budgets, confirm scope with Production, and optimize resources and materials for flawless execution. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build Job Pack schedule in accordance with the Integrated Master Schedule and Work Package schedule in AVEVA.
  • Assign resources to the skill level, based on allocated budgets and norms.
  • Work with Engineering, Pre-Production and Production personnel at all levels to communicate schedules and requirements to stakeholders via schedule reviews and schedule delivery meetings to gain business buy‑in.
  • Ensure Job Packages are released to Production on schedule at minimum 2‑weeks prior to Production start date with all scheduling items complete.
  • Manage Job Pack issues after release to ensure lessons are captured for future ships and Production can proceed with their scope.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Recognized Diploma in a technical discipline (Engineering, Engineering Technology/Technician or similar) or equivalent industry experience.
  • Ability to employ critical thinking to solve complex problems and develop sustainable solutions.
  • Experience with data management and related toolsets and their utilization in a manufacturing environment.
  • Accustomed to working in a fast‑paced environment with multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Please note this position requires a full‑time, in‑office presence.
