A health services organization in Penticton is looking for a part-time Occupational Therapist to support various clients, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the goals of the rehabilitation department. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Occupational Therapy and experience in providing therapy services. We have a relief part-time (temporary) Occupational Therapist opening in Penticton. This is a 0.67 FTE position expected to run until February 2026. The position supports the Quick Response Team at Penticton Regional Hospital, as well as clients in the Community. This position works every Thursday and Friday, two out of three Wednesdays and every third weekend. Days off are Monday and Tuesday. Shifts times are 09:00-17:00.

The occupational therapist works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing inpatient, outpatient, residential and community occupational therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of residents/clients/patients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. The occupational therapist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the department; participates in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education; and provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistants working with the rehabilitation team in regards to transfer of function.
