Role and Facility Information

The Vancouver Island Health Authority Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology has a Urogynecology and pelvic floor position in Victoria. This is a subspecialty position in urogynecology and pelvic floor disorders. Patient population would be from the South Island and referrals from other centers on the Island. Clinical services will include consultation through a private office, cystoscopy (organized through Ambulatory Services) and operative care primarily through VGH with privileges for RJH as well. This position will not be doing any obstetrics.
The candidate will be MRP for all patients admitted to hospital when consulted on-call as well as for those patients admitted for surgery. The plan is to work with members from the Department of Urology interested in urogynecology and pelvic floor disorders.
Affiliated with the University of British Columbia, and the Island Medical Program, responsibilities of this position include direct clinical care with teaching of medical students and residents.
