Holtec Palisades is currently seeking a Nuclear Core Design Engineer to join the Palisades Nuclear Plant team in Covert, MI.

The Nuclear Core Design Engineer will play a crucial role in developing the Palisades reactor core design. This position requires a deep understanding of nuclear reactor design, as well as expertise in core modeling software and neutronics.
Minimum education: B.S. Degree in Engineering or other scientific discipline / physical science generally associated with power plant operations, or equivalent work experience (equivalent experience is defined as demonstrated success at the Engineer / Technical Specialist level). Desired: Nuclear Engineering B.S. and/or M.S.
Minimum experience: Nuclear Power Plant Core Design specific experience preferred. Nuclear Power Plant Core Design Qualified highly preferred.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities: Good to excellent communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments. Experience/proficiency in PC use and applications, depending upon engineering level. Experience in CASMO/SIMULATE desired. Experience in GARDEL Core Monitoring software desired.
