Job summary

A Global Financial Technology company based in Toronto is seeking a Junior / mid-level Finance Consultant to advise on Murex practices, support implementations, and provide client training. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of experience in capital markets technology and a strong academic background in accounting or engineering. Knowledge of Unix/Linux and SQL is preferred, along with advanced English skills.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in capital markets technology is ideal.
• Experience supporting trading, treasury, or accounting at banks or with fintech vendors preferred.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux, SQL, and basic programming is a plus.
• Advanced level of English is mandatory.

Overview

SoHo Dragon represents a Global Financial Technology company that needs to hire a Finance Consultant. Role: Junior / mid-level.

Responsibilities

• Advising on Murex best practices in the P&L processes, position management, accounting, hedge accounting and financial reporting.
• Contributing to client-site MX.3 implementations during the requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deployment phases by participating in workshops, preparing documentation, configuring client requirements and performing quality assurance tests.
• Providing client support including managing open issues and supporting upgrade activities.
• Communicating development needs to the Murex product development team.
• Providing internal and external training.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate is someone with 2-3 years experience in capital markets technology.
• Preferable experience includes supporting either trading, treasury or accounting at banks or other financial institutions or has experience with other fintech vendors.
• Strong academic background in accounting, engineering or a math-based discipline (math, operations research, statistics etc.).
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system, SQL, and basic programming is a plus.
• Advanced level of English is mandatory.
