Mortgage Broker/Agent - Remote
Our client is a rapidly expanding independent brokerage at the forefront of innovation, active in BC, Alberta, and Ontario. They are presently seeking to onboard brokers who embody an entrepreneurial spirit and possess the determination to contribute to the team's growth.
In this newly assigned role as a Mortgage Broker, your responsibilities will include cultivating customer relationships through a thorough understanding of their needs, wants, and desires. Building trust, you will assess the best mortgage options, terms, and rates to provide optimal financial solutions. This will involve close collaboration with real estate professionals, lawyers, accountants, the public, lenders, and underwriters. Additionally, you will maintain positive relationships with lending partners, qualify clients, and manage the funding process for various mortgage types, including Purchase Financing, Switch/transfers, Refinances, HELOCs, and Privates. Any document discrepancies or issues will be escalated to the Director/Managing Broker for review and consultation. Your role also entails ensuring documentation compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines and maintaining clear, concise notes on all files.
To be eligible for this role, candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of previous brokering or lending experience with a minimum of $5 million track record, possess a valid Mortgage Broker/Agent License, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Strong time management, an entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivation, a growth mindset, and a positive attitude are essential qualities. Proficiency with a smartphone, relevant computer, and necessary software is required, along with a good understanding of financing and debt management.
