A regional healthcare provider in Canada seeks a Mental Health and Addictions Rehab Support Worker. This role involves assisting in activation and socialization services for mental health patients, providing personal care, and supporting those facing mental health issues. Candidates should have a Grade 10 education, complete a recognized Nursing Assistant Program, and have recent related experience. Registration with the BC Care Aide registry is required.

Under the general supervision of a senior position such as a Registered Nurse or Regular Psychiatric Nurse and supporting a multidisciplinary team, the Mental Health and Addictions Rehab Support Worker assists in the provision of activation and socialization services for mental health patients in the acute care setting, provides personal care assistance, and support services to the patient/client who is experiencing mental health, addiction, behavioral and developmental problems.

Education, Training And Experience: Grade 10 and completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant Program, plus six (6) months recent, related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Registration: Registered with the BC Care Aide registry.
