The Medical Secretary will provide efficient and effective secretarial services supporting the clinical work of the physicians. The Medical Secretary will assist in the maintenance and development of educational programs and materials for physicians and other health care professionals.

Education & Experience
  • Medical Secretary Diploma
  • Two years of experience in a similar role in a health care environment
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Position Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensures that the client and related clinical work receives the highest priority
  • Informs Patient Records of patient attendance at appointments
  • Acts as a receptionist, screening calls, dealing with clinic enquiries and transmitting essential information (including liaising with family practitioners, home care, families, etc.)
  • Attends and participates in the Physical Medicine & Rehab (PMR) Service team’s, administrative and support staff meetings as required
  • Provides coverage and support for other secretaries as directed by the Manager HIS
