John Knox Christian Secondary School is located in the heart of the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, in New Westminster, within view of the Fraser River. Our beautiful secondary campus was built in 2018 as an extension of our Elementary program with a long history of high-quality Christian education. We are a vibrant K-12 community of educators who joyfully support each other. We seek to authentically disciple our students and help them grow in their God-given gifts, abilities, and passions.

We are in a period of growth and are looking to expand our teaching team at the secondary school. We have a part-time position teaching three blocks of Math 9, one block of Workplace Math 10, one block of Accounting 11, and one block of Leadership 8. The salary for this 86% FTE role ranges from $50,000 – $86,000, depending on experience and qualifications. • Passion and vision for transformational Christian Education
• Experience and education relating to mathematics education
• BC Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for BC certification)
• Knowledge and practice with current BC Curriculum and 21st Century teaching practices

Preference will be given to applicants with:

• Experience teaching in a Christian school
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Relational approaches to teaching
• Ability to effectively and positively engage with students, parents, and staff with a diversity of perspectives
