Responsibilities
- The Material Coordinator is responsible for assessing and ensuring that the material and equipment needs of the local area are met. This includes material and equipment requisition, acquisition, organizing and inventory control.
- Ensure that materials are requisitioned using proper procedures from approved suppliers.
- Coordinate warehouse and supply chain activities to ensure physical inventories are conducted, material and equipment requests are properly received and accounted for in a timely manner, and materials are stored using orderly, systematic methods.
- Work collaboratively with the Supply Chain Management and Operations groups to ensure paper flows on asset tracking and accounts payables functions efficiently.
- Conduct continuous exploration for new materials, suppliers, and processes to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, continuity, and delivery to ensure a win-win solution for the vendor and our company.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Materials Coordinator in mechanical or electrical, with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
- Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and/or Procurement is an asset.
- Proven ability to process work orders, coordinate the ordering, pickup, and delivery of materials, manage inventory, source optimal suppliers and products, and conduct safety inspections to address facility deficiencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.

This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
