Position Overview

Power Your Future with Qualus in our T&D business as a Material Coordinator to support our growing Transmission & Distribution business. This position is hybrid, based in our Vancouver, BC office. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, in this role you will play a key role in coordinating materials, supporting procurement activities, and ensuring project teams have what they need to execute work effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Procurement team in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.
  • Develop, update, and maintain procurement plans; share updates with Project Managers as required.
  • Process and manage material orders through the client’s SAP system.
  • Coordinate resolution of material shortages, overages, and discrepancies.
  • Participate in weekly project meetings and provide clear updates on material availability, lead times, and inventory issues to support safe and timely field execution.
  • Facilitate purchasing of equipment and materials for multiple teams and projects.
  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
  • Maintain electronic files and documentation using company file sharing systems.
  • Expedite materials and record all shipping/receiving activities to various job sites.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in material coordination, procurement, or supply chain operations, preferably supporting utility, construction, or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems; strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple material workflows in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic document management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management abilities.
  • Proactive problem‑solver with experience resolving procurement issues such as shortages or delays.
