Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient distribution, shipping, and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and proficiency with heavy equipment and warehouse management systems. This role involves managing a team, coordinating logistics, and maintaining safety standards across all warehouse activities.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities including order picking, packing, and fulfillment to meet operational targets.
  • Operate and oversee heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and other heavy machinery to load and unload goods safely.
  • Manage shipping & receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of materials.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 for inventory control, order tracking, and reporting.
  • Oversee the operation of order pickers and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
  • Maintain safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and general warehouse safety standards.Conduct regular inspections of equipment like forklifts and cranes; coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
  • Lead inventory management efforts including stock organization, cycle counts, and cycle audits.
  • Produce schedules and logistics planning.
  • Train staff on proper use of equipment such as heavy lifting gear, order pickers, and packaging tools.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in warehouse management with knowledge of warehouse distribution processes.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation including forklifts, cranes, and reach trucks.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and other inventory software platforms.
  • Skilled in shipping & receiving procedures, order picking, packaging, and load & unload operations.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently; experience with heavy lifting is essential.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing or construction environments is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with experience managing a team in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order fulfillment and inventory control.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and coordinate repairs or maintenance for heavy equipment.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $23.00–$27.00 per hour (40 hours per week)

License/Certification: Forklift Licence (preferred)
