A leading retail cooperative is seeking a Manager for Independent Retail Operations to strategically lead teams and enhance business performance across Western Canada. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in the grocery or food retail sector and a proven track record in leadership. This hybrid role requires extensive travel and offers a competitive salary and benefits.
Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Manager, Independent Retail Operations on a permanent basis on our Consumer Products team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and can be based anywhere in Western Canada. This position requires extensive travel within Western Canada up to 30%.
This role provides strategic leadership to Operations Advisors and Corporate Operations teams across Western Canada, driving profitability, operational excellence, and brand alignment. By fostering consultative sales and supporting independent retailers, you’ll lead initiatives that grow business, enhance community impact, and strengthen The Grocery People (TGP) brand through innovative programs, promotions, and training.

The Team: You will work closely with other Operations Managers, will have a team of Senior Retail Operations Advisors and Corporate Operations Managers reporting into you, and will report into the Director, Independent Business. This team strives to cultivate a culture that is collaborative, results-oriented, and client centric.
The Customers: You will demonstrate customer focus and business acumen while supporting our TGP retails.
