Compensation

Responsibilities
  • Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures
  • Assign projects to subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labour relations and employee relations
  • Coordinate activities of the HR department to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Direct and control daily operations; evaluate daily operations
  • Motivate, coach, and train staff; conduct performance reviews
  • Plan and organize daily operations, recruitment strategies, and staff training
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures; review projects for compliance with laws and regulations
  • Review and oversee classification and rating of occupations, payroll administration, and benefits
  • Oversee analysis of employee data and information; develop communication strategies
  • Prepare reports; advise senior management
  • Manage contracts; negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employer or workers
  • Liaise with management, union officials and HR consultants
  • Respond to employee questions and complaints
  • Recruit and hire staff; supervise 5-10 people
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Services, or equivalent experience
  • 3 to less than 5 years of experience in HR management or related areas
  • Strong knowledge of Workday, SAP (FI/CO/HR/MM/OT/SD), MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
  • Experience in labour relations, policy development, employee relations, and recruitment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
