About This Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager, the Kingston Distribution Center Manager (DCM) will support daily operations of a distribution center by managing several direct reports and many indirect reports. Direct reports may include the Warehouse and Distribution Supervisors.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced operations professional to manage a mid to large-scale supply chain operation, lead continuous improvement, and implement organizational development initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee delivery, fleet, equipment service and warehouse functions for a 80,000 sq. ft. warehouse with a storage capacity of 196,000 cases and annual shipping volume of 3 million cases.
  • Manage and develop a team of 40 hourly associates to deliver world-class customer service and achieve annual business goals.
  • Establish and track progress against annual performance targets such as Engineered Labour Standards (ELS), On Time/In Full (OTIF) deliveries, and Cost Per Case inputs and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Ensure communication of daily plans and compliance to Coke Canada and facility policies on OSHA/safety standards, Department of Transportation regulations, and federal guidelines
  • Ensure commitment to superior customer service
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to support long term growth strategies including labour planning, staffing, and capital requirements.
  • Ensure all regulatory compliance standards are achieved.
  • Drive accountability for adherence to all facility policies and prioritize employee safety
  • Contribute to our growth culture by ensuring all department leaders are driving engagement across their teams while supporting local and national initiatives.
  • Identify, plan, and lead the execution of optimization initiatives working with key stakeholders, vendors and senior leaders and act as a change agent with employees to ensure successful implementation. #CBSAS #LI-IM1
Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years previous management experience in a unionized operation encompassing ownership for a breadth of supply chain disciplines is required
• Completed post-secondary education preferably in Logistics and Supply Chain or equivalent work experience required
• Strong influencing and people management skills required
• Experience leading large teams through transformation and change management
• Ability to collaborate with and influence a large workforce through a team of managers maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment
• Business acumen and strong presentation skills for multiple audiences from front line to senior/executive leaders
• Total understanding of regulatory compliance standards and OSHA standards and, experience tracking and reporting KPI’s
