Overview
Accounting Manager position at Anyload Weigh & Measure Inc. (the head office of the Anyload Group). The group is a leading global manufacturer and distributor of load cells, weighing equipment, and measurement solutions with operations in Canada, the United States, Korea, Hong Kong, and China. This role is based at the Burnaby, BC office and oversees consolidated financial management, compliance, and strategic planning for multiple jurisdictions. Key responsibilities
- Lead the accounting operations for Anyload Weigh & Measure Inc. and the Anyload Group’s entities in Canada, the US, and Korea.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Coordinate with the China factory’s accounting team to collect and review financial data for group consolidation.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines.
- Oversee general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
- Manage and review accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and banking activities.
- Monitor cash flow and support treasury management for the group.
- Ensure compliance with tax filing and reporting requirements in Canada, US, and Korea, working with external tax advisors.
- Coordinate annual financial audits and liaise with auditors for all group entities.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff within the head office.
- Collaborate with global offices to standardize reporting and maintain alignment on financial processes.
Qualifications
- CPA designation (or equivalent) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards; familiarity with US GAAP and international accounting standards is an asset.
- Experience with multinational consolidations and intercompany transactions.
- Proficiency in corporate tax compliance for Canada; exposure to US and Korea tax regulations preferred.
- Experience coordinating financial reporting with overseas offices, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multiple time zones and cultures.
- Chinese language skills (Mandarin or Cantonese) are considered a strong asset.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
