Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Saint John, NB, Canada
Be part of something new and exciting! We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to help launch and lead operations at a brand new chip plant. This is a unique opportunity to shape the maintenance culture, establish best practices, and make a real impact from day one. You will have 4 direct reports.
Shift patterns and working hours: Maintenance Supervisor will be on day shift Mon-Fri (45 hours) with occasional call in work.
What You’ll Do
- Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring policies are followed and incidents are investigated thoroughly.
- Lead and mentor a team of industrial mechanics and outside contractors, overseeing repairs, improvements, and unplanned downtime.
- Drive maintenance best practices and operational excellence initiatives across the new plant.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies, analyzing data to maximize efficiency and equipment availability.
- Oversee projects from concept to completion, measuring impact and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Train and develop apprentices, shaping the next generation of skilled maintenance professionals.
- Serve as a role model, coaching your team on values, work standards, and accountability.
What We’re Looking For
- Trade Certification or Associate’s Degree in a related technical field.
- 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a mechanical/industrial environment.
- Strong hands‑on mechanical knowledge and experience with predictive and preventive maintenance.
- Proven track record of implementing reliability improvement initiatives.
- Project management, prioritization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, CMMS systems, and ERP software (JD Edwards E1 is a plus).
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
- Lean Six Sigma training is an asset.

Compensation
Base salary up to $125k CAD DOE + relocation assistance if needed.
