Job description

Industrial Millwright or Industrial Electrician

This position ensures equipment is well maintained and functioning to minimize disruption to manufacturing operations.

As a Industrial Millwright or Electrician you will:

• Install, assemble, and disassemble machinery and equipment according to blueprints and technical specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure optimal functionality
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in industrial machinery.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools.
• Collaborate with other maintenance and production teams to address equipment-related challenges.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of maintenance tasks as needed.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Responsible to maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. You are responsible to clean up after your work.
• Stay updated with advancements in industrial technology and machinery.
• Perform other reasonable duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Industrial Electrical (442A) or Industrial Millwright (433A) Red Seal. Both licenses considered a strong asset.
• 5+ years experience installing, maintaining and repairing a variety of manual and automated production machinery in a manufacturing environment in either discipline
• Knowledge in both electrical and mechanical
• PLC Knowledge
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Hydraulic press exposure would be considered an asset
• Presents proven strong critical thinking and active listening skills
• Must have completed your apprenticeship and vocational training
• Shift flexibility to cover afternoon shift or night shift during vacations or project specific tasks
