Job summary

A healthcare company in Quebec, Canada, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Artisan to join their Maintenance department. You will be responsible for ensuring continuous electrical, mechanical, and building repairs along with air conditioning needs for the hospital. Job description

Position

Vacancy exists for a Maintenance Artisan based in Maintenance department at Life Riverfield lodge Hospital, reporting to Luvuyo Mayongo, Maintenance Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring continuous availability of Electrical, Mechanical and building repairs, as well as air conditioning required for the Hospital infrastructure.

Critical Outputs

• Stock & inventory control
• Restoration and/or repairs of buildings and equipment, risk management and daily check lists.
• The candidate must have a good understanding of equipment.
• Be physically fit to move furniture if needed.
• Excellent completion of daily job cards as well as feedback thereof is high priority.
• Excellent fault-finding skills, a must have.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance programme
• Adhere to safe working conditions
• Perform standby duties
• Have their own transport
• Valid driver’s license

Requirements

• Grade 12
• N6 Electrical Engineering heavy current with trade test (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
• 3 to 5 years maintenance experience in a hospital environment
• Proof of competency in any of the following fields: Electrical, painting, building, plumbing, carpentry, welding or tiling.
• Must be able to work under pressure and complete tasks timeously
