A regional school board is seeking an Educational Assistant to support students with special needs. The ideal candidate should have relevant certifications and experience. This posting is open to WRDSB employees who are members of the EA Association as well as external applicants. All Long Term Occasional assignments are subject to a revised end date with 2-weeks notice. Qualifications/Requirements
A condition of employment as an EA/CYW with the Waterloo Region District School Board requires that one must pass a Physical Demands test. All job offers will be conditional on the candidate passing all components of this test. This applies to any EA/CYW that does not already have Permanent/LTO level D hours.

Under staff screening and police record checks: Employees working in licensed child care programs are required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check issued by a Police Service on or before every fifth anniversary after the date of the most recent vulnerable sector check. In addition, employees are required to complete an annual offence declaration. Educators working in Before and After School Programs are required to complete a request for VSC through your local police service and submit your original electronic copy for review. Employees are required to have a valid first aid and CPR certificate and/or be registered to update their training within the year.
