Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Logistics & Supply Chain Data Analyst to join our growing remote workforce. In this role, you will play a critical part in transforming complex logistics and supply chain data into actionable insights that drive operational efficiency, cost optimization, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of supply chain processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze logistics and supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics related to inventory, transportation, procurement, and fulfillment.

• Support demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and network planning initiatives using data-driven methodologies.

• Collaborate with supply chain, operations, procurement, and finance teams to provide analytical support for strategic initiatives.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OTIF, lead time, inventory turnover, and logistics costs.

• Perform root cause analysis and provide clear, actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple systems and data sources.

• Automate recurring reports and analytical processes to improve efficiency and scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and business intelligence platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

• Solid understanding of logistics, supply chain operations, and end-to-end process flows.

• Experience working with large datasets and translating data into business insights.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a structured and analytical mindset.

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in a data analyst role within logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or distribution environments.

• Experience supporting global or multi-site supply chain operations is highly desirable.

• Exposure to ERP systems and supply chain planning tools is an advantage.
