Meet Your Future Team
You will work as part of the APAC Operations team to ensure content is localized with precision – not just translated, and resonates with the local customers and team while staying true to our brand ethos. You will work in close partnership with the global and regional teams – Retail Operations, Training, and Product teams based in Tokyo, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, and Vancouver.
If you were the APAC Localization Manager now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Localization & Transcreation - Lead the end to end localization process for all brand and product content across APAC (ex: retail, ecomm, marketing campaigns, social, email, product copy, packaging, customer service scripts). Ensure high quality transcreation that aligns with brand tone, voice, and technical product language. Intervene as needed on translated content to ensure consistency and quality of work are elevated. Collaborate with UX, legal, and compliance teams to ensure content is locally appropriate and compliant.
- Project Management - Manage localization timelines and deliverables across multiple markets (Japan, Korea, Taiwan, ANZ). Lead and support regional recruitment of writers, editors, translators, brand reviewers, and working closely with them to ensure they understand the requirements, scope and priority of each project. Lead localization projects with cross-functional teams for campaigns and marketing content, CRM, e-mails, product and web copy, retail, and more. Manage the maintenance of translation glossaries and memories. Develop and implement processes to increase efficiency, and manage cost and time to market for localized versions. Managing translation budget planning, invoices, and monthly reconciliations.
- Market Collaboration - Partner with regional teams to understand cultural or regional nuances and communicating this information for the global marketing team, with the goal of producing creative content that is regionally relevant and successful. Collaborate on the research and incorporation of industry best practices, innovations, and tools.
