Description

In-Home Assisted Living Inc. is seeking compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals to join our team as Live-In Caregivers/Personal Support Workers (PSWs) for our client in Scarborough, specifically Italian-speaking. The work setting is within a private home in the Victoria Park area.

As an IHAL employee, you will make a difference in the lives of our clients and their families through compassionate, client-focused care.

How you will spend your days:

• Basic Meal Preparation
• Assistance with personal care, hygiene, and grooming (ADLs)
• Light Housekeeping (vacuuming, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Medication Reminders
• Assisting clients with mobility, ambulation, and transfers
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Responding to emergency situations
• Completing daily shift reports to communicate with Case Managers

Success in this role:

• Personal Support Worker Certificate
• Foreign Nurse qualification (if applicable)
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred)
• Mobile phone (for timesheets and care plan updates)
• Strong documentation skills
• Ability to follow client care plans
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service skills
