Qualifications

  • Skiing or Snowboarding experience preferred.

  • Must enjoy working flexible hours including early mornings, weekends and holidays.

Job description

Well we have that, and more. Manning Park Resort is a year‑round resort located between Hope and Princeton, BC. If you are ready to leave the hustle and bustle of city life, and enjoy outdoor fun and adventure, this is a great place to work. Responsibilities
  • Greeting every guest with a smile and friendly comment
  • Providing physical assistance to guests loading or unloading from various lifts, including Chairlifts, T‑bars, Handle Tows and a Tube Lift
  • Performing all Safety Check required by BC Authorities regarding Passenger Ropeways operations before opening
  • Listening to and assisting guests; seeking additional information from lead hand or supervisor in order to answer guest inquiries
  • Notifying lead hand or supervisor in the event of unsafe, unusual or abnormal situations or incidents
  • Preparing and completing documentation required by BC Safety Authority
  • Controlling line‑ups by directing guests to appropriate queues
  • Continually shoveling snow from load/unload ramps, raking and grooming ramps
  • Shoveling snow around the resort as needed
  • Assisting transport with manual labour tasks; digging in winter signage
  • Keeping lift stations clear of snow and ice, and keeping lift huts, tools and loading/unloading areas clear of clutter
  • Providing lift passengers with dry, de‑iced seats and maintaining them during periods of precipitation
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements / Qualifications
  • Skiing or Snowboarding experience preferred
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to always provide excellent guest service, especially during periods of inclement weather
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and shovel snow for extended periods
  • OFA Lv3 is considered an asset
  • Able to work early mornings, weekends and all holidays
  • Must enjoy working outdoors in varied weather conditions
  • On-the-job training provided; must pass a lift operator exam

As a seasonal team member you may be presented with opportunities to cross‑train and support other departments to meet seasonal demands.
