A well-established Lloyd’s-approved Delegated Claims Administrator is currently seeking an experienced Liability Claims Examiner to support their growing operations. This organization specializes in complex commercial claims across various lines and is known for its high standard of service and integration of advanced claims technologies.
The successful candidate will bring 5–10 years of experience handling liability claims and have the ability to work independently while collaborating with a team of adjusters and specialists. Key Responsibilities :
Investigate and manage a portfolio of complex liability claims, including bodily injury, property damage, and personal injury
Coordinate with adjusters, legal professionals, brokers, and insured parties
Analyze reports, expert opinions, and documentation to assess liability and exposure
Establish and maintain accurate reserves in alignment with internal protocols
Recommend and negotiate settlements within authority levels; escalate as appropriate
Draft professional correspondence to stakeholders, including brokers and third parties
Ensure thorough documentation and timely updates in the claims system
Provide occasional support for claims in Property, Marine, and E&O as required
Contribute to internal initiatives focused on process improvement and knowledge sharing
Candidate Requirements :
5–10 years of experience in liability claims handling
Background in Property or E&O claims is considered a strong asset
Holds a valid Adjuster Level 1 License in British Columbia (or equivalent eligibility)
Proficient in interpreting commercial insurance policy wordings
Knowledge of Canadian insurance regulations and litigation processes
Experience in a TPA, MGA, or Lloyd’s market environment preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
Comfortable with digital tools and paperless claims systems
