Job Description

We’re looking for a Lease Administration Specialist to support our Real Estate team by managing lease data in Lucernix, reviewing critical documents, and ensuring compliance. You’ll handle new store activations, lease renewals, and legal notices while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. What You’ll Do
  • Responsible for accurate and timely payment of occupancy expenses for a portfolio of TJX Canada Store locations.
  • Maintain the ongoing updates of the Lease Administration database with rental charges and reconciliations for a portfolio of TJX Canada Store locations.
  • Responsible for preparing and maintaining standard departmental reports (i.e. tracking of billings received and settled, and the tracking of savings realized).
  • Provide oversight to lease administration data inputs to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments.
  • Provide support to business partners requiring occupancy expense information to perform their functions properly. This may include providing detailed rental payment estimates on existing, new, and amended lease agreements for budgetary purposes.
  • Identify and investigate trends that deviate from historical data and escalations to leadership.
  • Support special Lease Administration Projects as determined by management.
About You
  • Minimum of 2 years’ of related lease administration/occupancy payment experience on the landlord or tenant side preferred.
  • Post-Secondary Education in a related field (e.g. Business, Finance, Accounting, Law) or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong lease interpretation skills. Understanding of how legal arguments are structured so that disputes can be resolved in a timely manner. Front line negotiating skills and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Canadian realty tax assessment methodologies and the impact this has coupled with lease clauses pertaining to realty taxes to determine the proper allocation to be used.
  • Working knowledge of general ledgers, assets and liabilities, debits, and credits; familiarity with landlords’ accounting/allocation practices as well as lease clauses and their impacts.
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks and meeting tight deadlines in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Highly organized with exceptional time management abilities and a proven capacity to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Intermediate computer skills including word‑processing, spreadsheets (i.e. Excel), and e‑mail.
