Job summary

A dynamic construction company is seeking a Carpenter Foreman to lead site-based carpentry crews for building construction projects. This role is ideal for an experienced Journeyman Carpenter with strong leadership and communication skills. Responsibilities include supervising a crew, coordinating daily activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and performing hands-on carpentry as needed. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of carpentry experience, including 2 years in a foreman position, and a passion for mentorship and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Carpenter Certification (Red Seal preferred) or equivalent trade certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive carpentry experience including 2 years in a foreman role.
  • Proven experience with formwork and framing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise carpentry crews on construction projects.
  • Plan and coordinate daily work activities.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Perform hands-on carpentry duties as needed.
  • Ensure work complies with building codes and IDL standards.
  • Train and guide apprentices and crew members.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and inventory.
