The schedule will be 7 days on 2 days off, 8 days on 4 days off (with flexibility to start early or end late).

We are currently looking to hire a full-time Lambing Barn Technician at our Iron Springs location. This is a full-time position working approximately 40 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities

• Pen checking
• Taking care of nursery lambs
• Health checks on ewes and lambs in barns
• Cleaning milking equipment
• Bedding pens
• Performing all other tasks as assigned by the manager

Requirements

• Willing to work some weekends
• Interested in learning about animal care and the livestock industry
• Attention to detail
• Punctual and reliable
• Physically fit (able to lift 50 lbs)
• Able to stand and walk for long periods
• Willing to work in harsh weather conditions
• Patience with livestock
• Enjoy working on a team

Assets

• Proven experience with sheep and lamb husbandry
• Ability to operate farm equipment safely
• Previous experience dealing with animals or working at a farm or breeding operation
• Education or experience in agriculture
