Job summary

Cannabis Supply Co. Fort St. John is seeking an on-site Keyholder to lead store operations, coach staff, and deliver exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will model service excellence, manage daily activities, and ensure compliance with regulations while supporting sales targets and team growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 19+ per provincial regulations.
• 2+ years in retail, hospitality, or customer-facing role, with leadership experience preferred.
• Provincial cannabis certification (e.g., CannSell) required.
• Pre-employment criminal record check completed.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and model high-quality customer service and resolve escalations.
• Educate customers on cannabis products responsibly.
• Support achievement of store sales targets.
• Coach team on product recommendations and sales techniques.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales and customer retention.
• Maintain knowledge of products, categories, and regulations and educate the team.
• Execute opening and closing procedures, including cash handling.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum age requirement as per provincial regulations (typically 19+).
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
• 2 years plus experience in retail, hospitality, or a customer-facing role, with previous leadership or keyholder experience preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and support team members.
• Demonstrates ownership and accountability, and leads by example to support team performance and engagement.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and communicate clearly to address issues proactively.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 20 lbs.
• Provincial cannabis certification (e.g., CannSell or equivalent) required.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal record check.
