Job summary

Value Buds Canarama is looking for a motivated Keyholder to join our team. You’ll be the face of our brand, delivering exceptional service while guiding customers through the cannabis shopping experience.

This role suits someone who leads by example, takes ownership of shifts, and supports both customers and teammates in a fast-paced setting. You will manage daily operations, assist with merchandising, operate the POS, and ensure compliance with provincial cannabis regulations.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing experience in retail, hospitality, or service environments.
• Strong communication and a customer-first approach.
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell) required.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer.
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education.
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep.
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts.
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks.
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification.

About The Role

We’re looking for a motivated and dependable Keyholder to join our team. As a Keyholder, you’ll be the face of our brand, providing exceptional service while helping customers navigate the exciting world of cannabis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, taking ownership during their shifts, and supporting both customers and teammates in a fast-paced setting.

What You’ll Do

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification

About You

• Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
• Cannabis selling certification (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell)
• Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check
