Qualifications

• 2+ years in retail, hospitality, or customer-facing roles.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Cannabis retail knowledge is an asset, but a willingness to learn is essential.
• Ability to obtain provincial cannabis certification.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and model high-quality customer service, including resolving escalations.
• Support team with informed cannabis education for customers.
• Assist in achieving store sales targets.
• Coach team on product recommendations and sales techniques.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales and customer retention.
• Maintain knowledge of products, categories, and regulations, and educate the team.
• Execute opening and closing procedures, including cash handling.
• Oversee daily store operations and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain store standards, including cleanliness and merchandising.
• Provide on-shift leadership and direction to team members.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new employees.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.

The Role

Cannabis Supply Co is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to help lead one of our retail locations and create a store where customers love to shop and employees are proud to work. As the Store Manager’s right hand, you’ll help keep the store running at its best, coaching the team, driving sales, creating great customer experiences, and keeping day-to-day operations on track. You’ll be hands‑on, spending plenty of time on the floor alongside your team while also developing your leadership skills and learning what it takes to run a successful retail business. When the Store Manager isn’t there, you’re the leader in charge.

• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• The confidence to make decisions and take ownership when you’re leading the store.
