What you’ll do
  • Perform audit duties at a junior level. This includes examining and analyzing journal and ledger entries, bank statements, inventories, expenditures, other accounting and financial records, etc.
  • Plan, set-up and administer accounting systems and prepare financial information for an individual, department, company or other establishment.
  • Examine accounting records and prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Examine financial accounts and records and prepare income tax returns from accounting records.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by partner or senior staff.
  • Actively pursue self-development opportunities in line with the competency model and needs of the firm.
  • Build and nurture strong working relationships with staff, partners and clients.
  • Actively contribute to a positive team environment and support new initiatives.
  • Work as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks.
  • Actively support new initiatives.
What you bring to the table
  • Has or is working on a business or accounting degree (e.g., BA, BBA, BComm).
  • Has the desire to work toward a CPA.
  • Entry level technical knowledge and skills.
  • Knowledge of Caseware/Caseview, QBO, and TaxPrep would be an asset (but not required).
  • Interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Team player with a positive can-do approach.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Creative problem-solving ability.
  • Seeks and researches solutions or answers.
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Experience in delivery of quality client service.

Your schedule
  • Monday to Friday with working Saturdays in April
  • Monday to Thursday during July and August (Fridays off)
Salary

Salary range: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
