Sixense Solutions Canada Ltd. ("Sixense") is seeking a Job Cost Controller.

The Job Cost Controller supports the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions within Sixense. This role contributes to the company’s strategic and operational decision-making through detailed budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, project financial performance analysis, and financial reporting assistance.

The Job Cost Controller works closely with the Managing Director, Operations Manager, and Project Managers to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful financial information that aligns with the company’s objectives and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, cost control files, dashboards, and KPIs.
  2. Conducting variance analysis against budgets and forecasts to support performance monitoring and decision-making.
  3. Supporting the consolidation of financial data from various projects.
  4. Assisting in the preparation of presentations and financial packages for stakeholders.
  5. Participating in annual budgets and rolling forecasts development.
  6. Tracking actual performance, updating forecasts, and performing scenario analyses.
  7. Leading development and optimization of monitoring solutions using latest technologies.
  8. Collaborating with Project Managers on project templates, budget monitoring, revenue recognition, and cost tracking.
  9. Supporting financial onboarding of new projects, including cash flow projections and risk analyses.
  10. Assisting with client invoices and revenue tracking.
  11. Reviewing purchase order compliance and receipting flows monthly.
  12. Enhancing financial reporting tools and automating processes.
  13. Identifying opportunities for workflow improvements, ensuring compliance, supporting audits, and aligning with Vinci Group standards.
  14. Participating in meetings to present financial insights and support decision-making.
  15. Staying informed on relevant industry trends and providing support during year-end closing.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma/degree in business with an accounting major preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and controls.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Ability to work directly with project teams and communicate financial information clearly.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Excel; experience with Oracle is an asset.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
