Job summary

A leading aviation organization in Canada is looking for qualified First Officers who meet strict nationality and licensing requirements. Candidates must have a valid Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating and a Class 1 Medical, as well as be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident. Applicants must be students in good standing from a recognized aviation institution. This position offers a direct pathway to flying Jazz aircraft.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid and current Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating.
• Must have a valid Transport Canada Class 1 Medical.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
• Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident without restrictions.
• Must achieve a minimum of 80% on the written CPL, INRAT, IATRA (SARON / SAMRA).

Responsibilities

• Fly Jazz aircraft directly from an integrated ATPL program.
• Maintain compliance with Transport Canada regulations.

Job description

• Valid and Current Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating; must currently meet the instrument recency requirements.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain an Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
• Must hold a current passport at time of hire with 6 months of validity.
• Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident without restrictions.
• If you are a Permanent Resident, you must be able to obtain and maintain crew visa documentation required to operate aircraft within the USA.
• Must be legally able to enter the USA without restrictions.
• Must meet Transport Canada’s English proficiency standard.
• Must be licensed by Transport Canada to act as a First Officer on a 705-category aircraft (must have written IATRA or Frozen ATPL).
• Must achieve a minimum of 80% on the written CPL, INRAT, IATRA (SARON / SAMRA).
• Must achieve at or above average ranking on all aviation program academic courses.
• Must have no failures on TC flight tests or aviation program check rides (partial pass is allowed).
• Must receive a recommendation from faculty (verbal or written directly from the institution or program).
• Demonstrated high level of professionalism.

Jazz Direct Program

Pilots selected for Jazz Direct will be qualified to fly Jazz aircraft directly from an integrated ATPL program or by having a minimum of 250 hours total flying time with a commercial pilot license, multi-IFR and successful completion of the IATRA exam.
