Joining our team means becoming part of a group of experts dedicated to strategic, large‑scale international projects, where your expertise will make a tangible and lasting impact.

Techso is looking for a Java Developer with Guidewire expertise. Join our team and take part in exciting projects where you will develop, customize, and optimize Guidewire solutions for our clients. You will be involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle, integrate complex business processes, and design custom applications that drive operational transformation and enhance team performance.

To Excel In This Role, You Need To
  • Be mobile within the Montreal area to meet with clients as needed.
  • Be fluent in both French and English, spoken and written, as these languages are essential for daily communication with colleagues and clients, both in Quebec and across Canada.

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement solutions on the Guidewire platform.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and project teams to clarify requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in development and production environments to ensure application stability.
  • Conduct code reviews, follow development standards, and contribute to the quality of deliverables.
  • Contribute to performance optimization and scalability improvements of Guidewire solutions.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, including design and implementation details.
  • Support integration efforts between Guidewire systems and external services or third‑party applications.
  • Work within Agile teams, participate in sprint planning, and deliver tasks on schedule.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Significant experience developing Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter), ideally in a cloud environment.
  • Strong understanding of integration concepts via APIs (REST, web services) and integrating with external systems.
  • Experience with modern front‑end technologies and frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, HTML, CSS.
  • Experience with back‑end technologies: Node.js, Java, SQL, XML, and understanding of service‑oriented architectures.
  • Proficiency with modern development tools: version control, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile tools (Jira, Git).
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and rigor in implementation.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and business teams.
  • Guidewire certifications (e.g., Associate or Integration) and cloud experience are a plus.
Our Perks & Benefits
