Location: Pitt Meadows, BC – a scenic suburb of Metro Vancouver. Work Arrangement: Hybrid: 3 days/week in-office, 2 days remote, with the option to work fully in-office if preferred. Duration: Full Time. Reports to: VP People, Culture & Compliance.

Role Summary
The IT Systems & Security Administrator safeguards WISI’s IT infrastructure, systems, and networks. This role ensures availability, integrity, and confidentiality of critical assets, supports business continuity, and drives compliance with ISO27001:2022. Working across departments including R&D, Finance, and Facilities, the Administrator combines technical expertise with a strong security mindset, process discipline, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities
- Infrastructure & Security Leadership: Own IT systems and security posture; manage budgets, upgrades, and integrations; partner with R&D for secure innovation.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Lead ISO27001:2022 lifecycle; implement policies and controls; use Drata for monitoring; deliver training and awareness.
- Security Operations: Manage firewalls, endpoint protection, IAM, and SIEM; conduct patching, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
- Systems & Network Administration: Install, configure, and optimize servers, networks, and cloud environments; ensure uptime and secure connectivity.
- User Support & Continuity: Oversee Helpdesk SLAs; troubleshoot end‑user issues; manage backups and disaster recovery; support office technologies.
- Project Management & Continuous Improvement: Plan and deliver IT projects; reinforce a security‑conscious culture; act as secondary lead for core IT operations.
What You Bring
- Degree in Computer Science/IT; certifications (CISSP, CISA, CompTIA Security+) an asset.
- Strong foundation in infrastructure, networks, operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), and cloud security.
- Experience with ISO27001:2022 compliance and compliance automation platforms like Drata.
- Analytical problem‑solver with attention to detail, organizational skills, and customer service orientation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; adaptable and committed to continuous learning.
- Willingness to support after‑hours operations when required.
