Position: IT Systems Administrator
Location: Port Coquitlam (Head Office)
Onsite
Pay range: $80,000 – $100,000, based on performance and experience
We are seeking a highly skilled and security-conscious Systems Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for maintaining and securing our organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, endpoints, and cloud services. You’ll play a key role in implementing security best practices, identifying vulnerabilities, and responding to incidents; ensuring our systems are resilient, secure, and reliable.

What You’ll Do
- Develop, implement and maintain security policies and procedures, including Azure security best practices
- Implement and enforce system hardening standards and patch management procedures
- Manage and monitor computer systems, applications, and networks, including On-Premises and Azure IaaS and PaaS infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including those related to Office 365 and Azure services
- Ensure data backups are performed regularly and securely, including On-Premises, Office 365 and Azure backups
- Assist in managing firewalls, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Maintain clear documentation of systems, procedures, and configurations
- Collaborate with other teams to support business operations
- Educate staff on security best practices and contribute to awareness initiatives
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology, or at least 4 years of experience as a Systems Administrator, including experience supporting Azure, Office 365, and endpoint management
- Proven experience and knowledge of core Microsoft products such as Windows Server, Active Directory, and Remote Desktop Services
- Experience with security tools such as antivirus, EDR, IDS/IPS and vulnerability scanners
- Experience with Azure services such as VMs, Azure AD, Azure Networking, App Services, and Azure Storage
- Experience with Office 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams
- Experience with endpoint management such as device management, software deployment, and policy configuration
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
- Familiarity with identity and access management, MFA, and privileged access controls
- Knowledge of networking protocols and security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
