Job description

The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the IT services are maintained in line with Pulsar Measurement standards and procedures. This is a key role in strengthening and maintaining the IT security, resilience, and uptime, to support the demands of a busy manufacturing and back-office environment. Additionally, the role includes providing support for the ERP system and end-users.

Your Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Acting as the first point of contact for the North American facilities and supporting remotely for Pulsar UK and Asia.
  2. Providing advanced hardware support and troubleshooting IT issues involving PCs, printers, mobile devices, telephony systems, Windows servers, software applications, and network connectivity.
  3. Implementing, managing, and configuring IT security solutions such as RMM, antivirus, multi-factor authentication, and spam filters.
  4. Managing user provisioning, access control, and administration of Active Directory, Office 365, and other SaaS applications.
  5. Managing disaster recovery solutions, including configuration, monitoring, reporting, and validation of backups.
  6. Contributing to the IT department by maintaining and sharing knowledge on the latest IT and security developments.
  7. Engaging proactively with third-party IT suppliers to optimize cost, uptime, and service levels.
  8. Providing IT project and change management support, planning, and managing local change projects.
  9. Managing communications regarding business-wide applications administration.
  10. Adding, moving, and changing IT equipment on site, maintaining inventory and lifecycle management.
  11. Working with HR to manage IT equipment for onboarding and offboarding employees.
  12. Maintaining IT consumables stock levels.
  13. Offering assistance for end-users on ERP system functions.
Position Requirements:
  1. A degree in IT or equivalent experience.
  2. Proven experience supporting users with Microsoft Office Suite and administering Microsoft 365.
  3. Experience supporting business applications.
  4. Experience with Microsoft Server 2019 and Active Directory.
  5. Proficiency in MS Windows Platforms.
  6. Excellent communication skills.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  9. Advanced Epicor knowledge and experience (advantageous).
  10. Experience with Hypervisors (VMWARE or Microsoft).
Preferred Qualifications:

A degree in IT or equivalent experience.

Computer Skills:

Supporting users with Microsoft Office Suite and administering Microsoft 365; Experience with Microsoft Server 2019 - Active Directory; Proficiency in MS Windows Platforms; Advantageous to have Epicor and Hypervisor experience.

Travel:

Travel is based on demand, including regions, factories, offices, customer locations, and suppliers. The role may require domestic and international travel.

Working Conditions:

Sitting and standing for periods; looking at a computer monitor; 25-35% travel annually; office environment with trips to other company locations.
