An established financial institution in Montreal is seeking an investment assistant to support business relationships and assist with administrative operations. The role requires at least two years of relevant experience and a college diploma. Key responsibilities include helping resolve client issues, supervising client deposits, and recruiting administrative staff. As an investment assistant, you help serve, prospect for, solicit, and develop and maintain business relationships with members and clients. You help sell securities products and services through various distribution channels based on member/client needs and current strategies and practices. Your focus includes discretionary management, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds and structured products. You help develop and maintain business relationships with members and clients, drive results, handle special information requests from clients, and promote and sell specialized products and services in accordance with your unit’s objectives and strategies. You ensure member/client satisfaction and service quality in line with the organization’s standards and procedures. You assist in analyzing member/client needs, developing and implementing personalized solutions, and proposing integrated service offers. You support current and potential members and clients, represent the organization, and help negotiate agreements with clients. Interpersonal savvy is essential.
Specific responsibilities include:
Provide administrative assistance in compliance, budget monitoring and management of administrative staff to the manager of a large branch or a group of branches. Serve as a resource person for policies, procedures, methods, and operational/interpersonal problem-solving.
Work with support services to resolve everyday operational issues in the branch or branches.
Supervise the deposit of client cheques and handle complex operational tasks, including coordinating interest management for new issues.
Proactively help recruit and hire administrative staff for your branch or branches. Handle logistics when employees start or leave.

General college diploma in a related field
