Intermediate / Senior Environmental Professional Lead – Fredericton, NB

This opportunity offers a full-time, career-oriented position with a hybrid work arrangement from any of our offices in Eastern Canada. In this leadership role, you’ll collaborate with EXP’s team across the Atlantic region and on some of Eastern Canada’s largest projects.
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, training and operational support to junior and intermediate staff in environmental site assessment and remediation across Atlantic Canada.
- Assist with recruitment of junior and intermediate field and technical environmental staff.
- Independently manage a portfolio of environmental investigation projects (Phase I, Phase II ESA, Detailed Site Investigation, Remediation).
- Plan projects, implement activities and coordinate fieldwork.
- Review project budgets and expenses to ensure profitable project performance.
- Prepare proposals for a variety of clients and develop positive business relationships with clients.
- Manage provincial and/or federal contaminated sites assessments and site remediation; coordinate with risk assessors (human or ecological).
- Serve as a technical resource in your field(s) of expertise.
- Analyze and prepare documentation, presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Gain and share knowledge through participation in technical societies or internal/external programs.
- Engage with senior team members to advance the firm’s brand, client relationships and business development.
- Manage the technical scope, schedule and budgets of projects and provide day-to-day project management and compliance with site, corporate and regulatory standards.
- Perform other IT-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10 years or more of environmental consulting experience.
- University degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or Geoscience.
- Professional status or designation (P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag.).
- Familiarity with Environmental Regulations in Atlantic Canada.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to work both outside and in an office environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including advanced technical writing abilities.
- Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD, GIS).
- Proficient problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in managing teams is an asset.
