Job summary

A leading engineering service provider is seeking an Intermediate/Jr Civil Engineer in Winnipeg to manage various water conveyance and infrastructure projects. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include project management, contract administration, and construction supervision. Ideal candidates are self-motivated with leadership experience and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in engineering, focusing on water resource related projects.
  • Experience in hydrotechnical assessments and hydrology.
  • Self-motivated with strong leadership and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects, contract administration, and design engineering.
  • Coordinate and mentor junior engineers and technologists.
  • Prepare planning reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Conduct construction administration and supervision.
  • Collaborate with clients to meet project objectives.

Description

The successful candidate will use their technical and management skills to deliver various water conveyance and other infrastructure projects.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Civil or Environmental Engineering,
  • Registration with EGM as an Engineer (P.Eng., or E.I.T.),
  • 5 years (+/-) experience in engineering, including design, management, construction supervision, and project management. Preferably for water resource related projects.
  • Experience in completing hydrotechnical assessments and hydrology, and using hydraulic modelling software is desirable.
  • Self-motivated, with good leadership, project management and client management experience; and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Management of projects, contract administration, construction management, and design engineering,
  • Coordination, supervision, mentoring, and management of junior engineers and technologists,
  • Prepare planning reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents,
  • Perform construction administration and general construction supervision duties,
  • Work closely with our clients to ensure their project objectives are met.
