A city government organization in Lloydminster is seeking an Instrument Person for a summer student role. This position involves assisting the Engineering Services team with Capital Projects, including conducting surveys and inspections related to municipal projects. Candidates must be enrolled in an engineering program, possess a valid Class 5 driver's license, and be returning to school after the summer. Competitive hourly wage of $18.05 is offered for this full-time summer position from May to August 2026.
Term of Employment: Full-Time, Summer Term (May 4, 2026 – August 28, 2026)
Rate of Pay: Student Wage Band: $18.05 per hour (Subject to CUPE 1015 Agreement)
Location: Operations Centre
The Instrument Person will work with the City of Lloydminster’s Engineering Services team and will assist the team with delivering completed Capital Projects as well as respond to interdepartmental needs.
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with the occasional requirement to work outside these hours as required by potential Capital Projects. Weekend and on-call work may be required depending on the construction scheduling of Capital Programs.
Applicants must be attending a post-secondary program including college or university during the last school term and returning to studies in the subsequent academic year. Verification of student status will be required.
