Job summary

A local ski organization is seeking an Instructor for their School Outreach Program in Nelson. The ideal candidate will teach cross-country skiing to students, manage groups in winter conditions, and create fun, engaging activities. Ideal candidates should have experience working with youth, strong communication skills, and a passion for outdoor education. Compensation starts at $16-17 per hour, with schedules from Tuesday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience facilitating outdoor and educational programming.
• Experience managing groups in dynamic environments with minimal supervision.
• Cross-country ski coaching certifications an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality cross-country ski instruction to students.
• Co-lead groups of up to 40 students.
• Facilitate games and activities that are fun and age appropriate.
