Overview
Skretting St. Andrews is looking for an Inside Sales Associate to handle advisory and commercial customer requests, both reactively and proactively, to ensure customer satisfaction.
Inside Sales Associates ensure adequate and reliable customer administration to contribute to customer satisfaction. Activities include accepting and processing incoming orders, answering questions, solving problems and handling customer complaints to guarantee satisfaction and continuity of the relationship.
Responsibilities
- Understand the product portfolio, the number of different products/formulations, and the geographical scope of the role.
- Sales and sales support: contact customers (first and second line) and inform them about products to contribute to effective customer communication.
- Answer questions about product assortment and applications, production based on standard products, and quoting prices and delivery times.
- Manage contract renewals regarding price, specifications and delivery within defined parameters to maintain relationships with customers and meet volume, quality and price requirements.
- Process orders and manage data: handle incoming orders for timely delivery, enter data into automated systems, track orders, and identify potential problems.
- Update product data in relevant systems to provide up-to-date information on products, prices, and other details.
Qualifications
- Experience as a customer service associate.
- Post-secondary education in business, agriculture, animal science, or related fields.
- 3–6+ years of customer-facing experience, ideally in manufacturing, production, agribusiness, or feed industry environments.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Expectations
- Ability to work in a regular on-site shift, five days a week.
- Customer relationship management: manage records, handle all customer requests and orders.
- Proactively manage all customer encounters with timely responses.
- Strong verbal and written communication to handle inquiries, complaints, and product explanations.
- Collaborate across departments such as Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing.
